Kendra Shank‘s crystal-pure tone, powerful musicianship and elastic phrasing have won her rave critical notices and fans internationally. Hailed by The New York Times as a “superbly skilled vocalist” and an artist of “effervescence, depth,” and “integrity” (Nate Chinen), she headlines at top venues across the U.S. and abroad, captivating audiences with her genuine warmth and musicality. Shank combines jazz originals, standards, world music, French songs, folk/pop tunes, and open improvisation in an adventurous, genre-bending style that inspired Gary Giddins to call her “one of New York’s most original performers.” (Jazz Times)
“Kendra Shank’s delectable voice–warm-toned, fine-grained, quietly sexy–sets her well apart from the crowd, as does her knack for picking unhackneyed, slightly off-center material. The up-tempo tunes swing hard; the ballads shimmer and shine. Get in on the ground floor: this lady is going up.” ~ Terry Teachout, TIME

John Stowell is a unique jazz guitarist influenced as much by pianists and horn players as he is by guitarists. His original take on harmony, chords and improvisation sets him apart. He has taught internationally for over 40 years in every educational setting. His clinics are informal, hands-on and informative. In addition to music theory and guidelines for improvisation, John shares his professional experience with the business of music.
“He plays his amplified guitar as if he were surrounded by fine crystal… the type of slow burning, sustained energy that you hear in players that practice all the time.” ~ Downbeat
“John Stowell plays jazz, but he doesn’t use any of the clichés; he has an incredible originality. John is a master creator.” ~ Larry Coryell

Bob Bowman, a native Kansan now resides Montana has worked with many great musicians like Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra, Toshiko Akiyoshi-Lew Tabakin Big Band, Dan Haerle and Frank Mantooth, the legendary Carmen McRae, Pat Coil, Freddie Hubbard, Bud Shank, Steve Houghton, Steve Allee, Bill Mays, Clay Jenkins, Danny Embrey, Todd Strait, Bob Sheppard, Rod Fleeman, Jerry Hahn, Bobby Watson and others.
“Bob Bowman’s solo on a ballad on Danny Embrey’s Dues Blues is as life-affirming as a poem by Maya Angelou. The bassist’s concise statement on “November” is one of many standout moments on the welcome reissue of the guitarist’s 1988 recording with Bowman, keyboardists John Beasley and Dave Loeb and drummer Steve Houghton.” ~ Bill Brownlee
