I think it is safe to say it is spring here around Hebgen. We’ve been hearing Ruffed Grouse’s drumming sound in the woods frequently. Quite an amazing sound!

A winner of an Earshot Jazz Golden Ear Award and recent inductee into the Missoula Jazz & Blues Society Hall of Fame, her expressive trombone playing is changing the way the trombone is heard and viewed. Fusing folk melodies with fantastical soundscapes and circular grooves, she is a model of creative self-expression inspired by the jazz tradition.
