Now and then I receive lovely messages from music fans who subscribe to my newsletter. That means much to me! Thank you so much!! Recently several fans wrote me that because of the COVID-19 situation they can not come out to enjoy live music even though they would love to. I totally understand. You can not enjoy music in a situation when you are not safe and comfortable. So please be safe, wash hands, wear a mask, keep distance for each other!
* To musician friends, if you would like to add your message, on going projects like new albums, etc. on BigSkyJazz.net please contact me!
* Details of these concerts can be changed due to artists/venues’ circumstances.

FOR YOUR LISTENING PLEASURE

Last week, on June 29th one of the great composers Johnny Mandel who is one of Bob’s favorite composers passed away. Also a great comedian Carl Reiner passed away on the same day. So Bob and I watched a movie “The Russians are coming, The Russians are coming” to say good bye to Mr. Mandel who wrote the movie score and Mr. Reiner who played in the movie. I am sure many of you saw the sad news about another great composer Ennio Morricone’s passing. Rest In Peace, Mr. Morricone.
This week, I’ll leave you with these tunes by Johnny Mandel performed by Bill Evans. Here is Theme from M*A*S*H and A Time for Love .

BigSkyJazz.net and news letter Jazz this week are non-profit. I am doing this to be a little help for jazz community around Bozeman while I work as a website/graphic designer.
If you feel like helping me with a little reward please donate from “Buy me a glass of wine page“. It is much appreciated!!!
