I am sorry that it has been a while to send the jazz newsletter. Good news is some venues are starting to have live music. This week Bob Bowman and Alex Nauman at Devil’s Toboggan and Alex Robilotta and Eddie Tsuru at Red Tractor Pizza are playing in Bozeman!! And on June 20th Alex Nauman will be performing with his band Pattern Addicts at Thirsty Street Co. at The Garage in Billings!
* To musician friends, if you would like to add your message, on going projects like new albums, etc. on BigSkyJazz.net please contact me!
* Details of these concerts can be changed due to artists/venues’ circumstances.

ON TUESDAY NIGHT AT DEVIL’S TOBOGGAN IN BOZEMAN

From bassist Bob Bowman!
“Well, I’m fortunate to play for a sorely missed “Live” audience tomorrow, Tuesday, 7-9:00 PM @ Devil’s Toboggan in Bozeman with the wonderful guitarist, Alex Nauman. I think Yae and Budsie are pretty tired of hearing  my impersonation of a musician. Please come by. Toboggan is set up with lots of “distance” even in normal times between patrons. It’d be great to see folks I haven’t seen at least since February 28th, my last gig btw. My! Time relevance becomes irrelevant when pandemicing doesn’t it? Hoping everyone is safe and in good health in body and spirit.
We’re lucky to live where we do. Whew!”
If you plan to attend it would be helpful to contact the venue so they can arrange the limited seating.

FOR YOUR LISTENING PLEASURE

My wonderful husband and bassist Bob Bowman’s old friend and great pianist Pat Coil recently shared his solo performance from his house on YouTube as part of Nashville Jazz Workshop’s Jazz From Home series. Pat is an accomplished pianist, composer, producer, arranger, teacher, and respected studio musician. His credits span the musical spectrum of jazz, R&B, pop, country and gospel. His jazz credits include Carmen McRae, Woody Herman, Ernie Watts, Larry Carlton, and many more.
Bob and Pat were roommates at North Texas and played with Carmen McCrae together. They played at each of their mothers’ memorial services weeks apart. Lots of history. Pat will visit Montana next summer!
Here is the video on YouTube!

BigSkyJazz.net and news letter Jazz this week are non-profit. I am doing this to be a little help for jazz community around Bozeman while I work as a website/graphic designer.
If you feel like helping me with a little reward please donate from “Buy me a glass of wine page“. It is much appreciated!!!
