It has been very smoky here in Hebgen from wildfires everywhere. This is something I can’t get used to. Please stay well.
Here is a message from my Bob Bowman ” I had a great time in Basin MT playing with MJ Williams and Ann Tappan and my duets with MJ at Devil’s Toboggan. I love playing with younger musicians which is freeing. However playing with folks that have been doing it a long time there a sense of trust that is freeing in its own way.”

Some jazz fans who like vocalists may know Karrin Allyson who is an internationally acclaimed singer, pianist, composer, teacher, and bandleader with 15 CD’s and 5 Grammy Nominations. My husband and bassist Bob Bowman met Karrin in Kansas City, MO in 1990 and played and recorded with her for 15 years. He still continues playing with her occasionally. Recently Karrin and her partner Bill McGlaughlin started a radio show together. If you don’t know about Bill McGlaughlin, he served as a trombonist with the Philadelphia Orchestra and Pittsburgh Symphony, then turned to conducting with a variety of orchestras, from the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra to the Kansas City Symphony. Their conversation is fun, informative, and intimate and of course the music they play is fantastic! You can play their program here :
Please take a listen the episode #1! Karrin played some of her early recordings Bob played! and news letter Jazz this week are non-profit. I am doing this to be a little help for jazz community around Bozeman while I work as a website/graphic designer.
If you feel like helping me with a little reward please donate from “Buy me a glass of wine page“. It is much appreciated!!!
