FOR YOUR LISTENING PLEASURE
BECK’S BLUE NOTE
This house concert “Beck’s Blue Note” was held at Steve Beck and Claire Koga’s backyard on July 18th, 2021.
Minimum $8 donation to watch the concert videos.
Your donation will go to a budget to release an album by the same band!
Bob Bowman : Bass / Josh Nelson : Keyboard / Bob Sheppard : Saxophone / Clay Jenkins : Trumpet / Larry Koonse : Guitar / Steve Houghton : Drums
Shhhh… Don’t tell Blue Note that there was an amazing jazz concert at Beck’s in LA. The concert was held at Steve Beck and Claire Koga’s back yard for their family and friends. Steve is bassist Bob Bowman’s long time friend, since their childhood, and Steve and Claire put a lot of work to make the concert happen. The band is truly a dream team. Bob Bowman on bass, Josh Nelson on keys, Bob Sheppard on saxophone, Clay Jenkins on trumpet, Larry Koonse on guitar, and Steve Houghton on drums. All of them are nationally/internationally known and appreciated. Steve Beck has known Bob Sheppard, Clay Jenkins, and Steve Houghton for a long time too. So right at the moment the musicians arrived at Beck’s house, the reunion party started. Josh Nelson and Larry Koonse are friends of rest of the band through music which is one of the best things on the planet. So this is a great concert by fantastic musicians who love and respect each other and you will feel it in the videos!
Oh, and I have to mention about a couple of special guests. Pianist Pat Coil who is also Bob Bowman’s long time friend and drummer Jeff Hamilton. They joined the first song on the second set.
Truly a once in a life time event!
The concert consists of 2 sets. Total about 1 hour and 43 mins.
I will send you links to the 2 videos on YouTube after receiving the donation. So please don’t forget to add your email address.
