Busy week for Bozeman jazz fans! There will be jazz concerts starting from Wednesday to Sunday every day! Of course, I am already excited about the concert at lovely Cikan House by guitarist John Stowell, saxophonist Scott Jeppesen, pianist Cheyenne John-Henderson, and bassist Bob Bowman who is my husband. They are all great musicians and I know it will be a beautiful night of music!

Enjoy an early summer evening with live jazz at a lovely house concert! On Thursday, June 29th 6:30-8:30PM at Cikan House in Bozeman, guitarist John Stowell, saxophonist Scott Jeppesen, pianist Cheyenne John-Henderson, and bassist Bob Bowman will be creating beautiful sounds for you!
John Stowell who lives in Portland, OR has performed all over the globe, well, he recently performed in Korea! John and Bob Bowman, who is also a great jazz veteran, have played many times together in Oregon and Montana and been appreciated by many music lovers. This time, wonderful musicians/educators Scott Jeppesen (MUSB) and Cheyenne John-Henderson (MSU), both are busy playing in/out of Montana as many of you know, are joining them. So, please don’t miss these splendid musicians (also super nice people) and their beautiful music!!!

THURSDAY NIGHT AT LAST BEST COMEDY IN BOZEMAN

We’re bringing it back to the 1950’s, New York City! The birth of modern jazz coincided with the birth of modern stand-up comedy, and these artists frequently shared the same venues. Comedians like Lenny Bruce and Bob Newhart would trade sets with jazz musicians such as Miles Davis and Dave Brubeck, combining nights at clubs like the Village Vanguard and the Blue Angel.
On June 29th, we are going to bring this format back!
Our musicians: Jake Fleming (sax), Alex Robilotta (gtr), Isaac Winemiller (bass), Alex Platt (drums)
Our comedians: Nick Banish, Alex Kaufman, Jordan Demander
We will all be trading short sets throughout the night. You can expect a few songs, followed by a few comedic bits. Which is why we have titled this event “BITS AND BEATS.”
