Bob, our beloved doggy Budsie, and I are staying in Point Richmond, CA for few days. The last two concerts by Josh Nelson, Joe La Barbera, Larry Koonse, Matt Otto, and of course Bob Bowman at Sam First near LAX were amazing! All of them are extremely talented and super nice people.

Join us for what will be Will’s last performance in Bozeman for the foreseeable future as we celebrate the music and legacy of one of music’s greatest composers – Thelonious Monk. Dubbed “The Genius of Modern Music”, Monk’s unique approach to harmony and melody revolutionized improvised music… We’ll do our best – I promise we’ve been practicing!

Bowman/Morgenroth/Averre – bassist Bob Bowman, pianist David Morgenroth, drummer Dave Averre will play in Bozeman, Basin, and Anaconda through August 4th to 6th. David Morgenroth who recently moved to Eugene, OR was/is one of Montana music fans’ favorite pianists. Dave Averre studied and built his career in NY, CT, then Scandinavia. Now Averre has been one of the busiest drummers in the Northwest area after he moved to WA in 1996. In fact, in 2010 he was inducted into The Oregon Jazz Society Hall of Fame. Bob Bowman, a true jazz veteran and artist, has been performed nationally and internationally for over 50 years with big-names in jazz world and his own groups. Bowman who lived in NYC, L.A., and long time in KCMO now resides in Big Sky Country.
