Bob and I have been very busy since we took off to his music trip to the West Coast. Many many miles of driving, my graphic design work suddenly got busy so I squeezed them in between his gigs and driving, time with friends, then more driving. Our beloved K9 Budsie has been quite relaxing though!
As you can imagine, I’ve been enjoying fantastic concerts by musicians in L.A. and Portland area, but I am looking forward to the short tour by this trio: pianist David Morgenroth, drummer Dave Averre, and bassist Bob Bowman in Bozeman, Basin, and Anaconda on Aug 4th, 5th, and 6th. AUG 4TH-6TH, BOWMAN/MORGENROTH/AVERRE IN MONTANA
Bowman/Morgenroth/Averre – bassist Bob Bowman, pianist David Morgenroth, drummer Dave Averre will play in Bozeman, Basin, and Anaconda through August 4th to 6th. David Morgenroth who recently moved to Eugene, OR was/is one of Montana music fans’ favorite pianists. Dave Averre studied and built his career in NY, CT, then Scandinavia. Now Averre has been one of the busiest drummers in the Northwest area after he moved to WA in 1996. In fact, in 2010 he was inducted into The Oregon Jazz Society Hall of Fame. Bob Bowman, a true jazz veteran and artist, has been performed nationally and internationally for over 50 years with big-names in jazz world and his own groups. Bowman who lived in NYC, L.A., and long time in KCMO now resides in Big Sky Country.
