We are visiting Lincoln, NE on Monday for Bob’s concert with pianist Jeff Jenkins and drummer Jeff Johnson at Capital Jazz Society. Then we will be back to Kansas City, MO for more gigs at The Majestic, Westport Coffee House, Stock Hill, Corvino, Eddie V’s, and a driveway concert at our friend & trumpeter Stan Kessler’s place which has become popular among jazz fans. Kansas City is a big jazz city. Many restaurants, bars, and event venues have jazz bands, so you probably can find jazz performances everyday somewhere in the town. Some places have stages while some don’t. Some places have good listening audience while some don’t. But they consistently keep live music even when business is slow. To me, this shows the pride in the history and culture of the city. We are planning to bring some KC musicians to MT next year!!
