UPCOMING JAZZ & MORE

SUN, NOV 19TH AT THE CIKAN HOUSE

Please don’t miss these talented young musicians at The Cikan House in Bozeman on Sun, Nov 19th!! Here is from Cameron!

The first set will be all original music written by the artists—a mix of jazz, folk music, and Americana. The second set will be selections of vocal jazz ballads from Tony Bennet to Joni Mitchell with some Chet Baker in the middle.

The artists

Emilio Gonzalez is a young vocalist and guitarist born and raised in Florida with parents from Puerto Rico. He is an incredible songwriter and enthusiastic creative. He is releasing an album produced by Cameron Reichert which features vocalist Emme Cannon. Emilio has a love of old-style vocal jazz in the realm of Frank Sinatra, Jeff Buckley, and Billie Holiday. He is also fond of singing Joni Mithcell and other more modern poetic writers.

Emme Cannon fits into a category all her own. Recently graduated from Berklee College of Music, she has shared her music in countless shows from packed concert halls to house parties, and other notable Boston gems such as the Boston Book Festival, the Boston Calendar, and Fenway Park. She sings with ease in many styles but shines in her own silky writing. Combining Indie-folk and alternative genres, Emme’s music creates a unique feeling of being in the eye of a storm between peace and chaos.

Colin Dorion is the Indiana jazzman. Colin met Cameron at a Berklee Jam session in 2018 and the two have been swinging quarter notes ever since. Colin is an inspiring creative drummer and an extremely disciplined member of the practice shed. There are few musicians who can sit in a room playing quarter note triplets at 40 bpm for 2 hours a day. Colin was sent home from Berklee due to COVID-19 and decided to take a break from higher education to pursue his practice. After a few years of hard work, he moved to Chicago to finish his undergrad and play at the local clubs. This will be his second time performing at Cikan House.

Kara Snethlage is a recording engineer/producer from South Africa. She came to Berklee with dreams of being the next big fusion guitarist. When she discovered the creative flexibility and technology aspect of being a recording engineer she quickly switched lanes. She is now the most sought-after producer engineer at Berklee and is transitioning to being very busy in LA. Along with honing her recording chops, she has spent countless hours expanding her guitar skills. Playing live shows in Boston every weekend and adding licks in recording sessions she is a formidable professional in the studio.

Cameron Reichert is a Livingston-raised multi-instrumentalist. Not knowing which instrument to pick up he was also pulled into the recording industry. Getting to spend time with all these amazing artists is an honor. They are his friends and heroes.
