UPCOMING JAZZ & MORE

SAT, MAR 2ND AT THE CIKAN HOUSE IN BOZEMAN

CUBUSA Fundraising Event – Cikan House – March 2, 2024 Music by Supernova.
Help support Montana musicians of CUBUSA perform with Cuban musicians at the Festival Del Caribe July 2-9, 2024.
The concert by Jake Fleming, Kali Armstrong, John Roberts, Eddie Tsuru, Toby Roberts, and Doug Wales performing original CUBASA compositions plus other classic Cuban and Brazilian tunes.

The founder/director of CUBUSA, Doug Wales, will share his story of how this strong musical connection between these two culturally rich communities came about and resulted in their 2021 release of Swapping Tracks and their newest 3 recordings now playing on 200 radio stations in Cuba. Last month, their Sincopa Remix hit #5 nationally on the radio in Cuba.  CUBUSA musicians believe that music has the power to build bridges over walls, raise awareness of this unjust blockade, and help normalize our country’s relations with Cuba.

Please help send our Montana contingent of CUBUSA musicians to Santiago to perform at the 44th Annual Festival del Caribe. This will be the first time over the 13-year history of this project that CUBUSA’s musicians, from Cuba and the USA, will stand on stage together as a band, and perform live before an international audience.
Please watch some of the following videos to get a feel for this exciting intercultural collaboration. You can watch more music videos at https://cubusamusic.com/music-video
