We’ve been busy enjoying the KC jazz scene and spending time with friends! This week, Bob has two special birthday concerts (he will be 72 years young on April 17th!), two house concerts, and two regular gigs lined up. Fingers crossed his stamina holds up! Some musicians joining him on this trip have visited Montana and would like to come back for the beautiful mountains and friendly jazz fans!

Carabiner Lounge at the Summit Hotel has live music on Tuesdays for the season, 4-6PM. Alex Robilotta on guitar and Eddie T. on bass! Every Wednesday, Levity features Jazz Jam starting at 7:00 p.m. It’s a Jam Session with local jazz musicians. This week the house band – Joe Sullivan on keyboard, Robin Martinez on bass, Lloyd Marsh on drums, and featured musician Scott Jeppesen on saxophone will be hosting the jam session! Come check it out! Afro-Cuban fusion in a chamber jazz setting; featuring some of MSUB’s current students, faculty, and alumni.
“Mixed Medium,” generally an art term, refers to the combination of multiple materials in one project. In the context of this recital, the mediums are instrumentation, meter, and style. Come hear some original arrangements of jazz classics played a stellar band!
