FOR YOUR LISTENING PLEASURE

One day Bob and I were checking a legendary bass player Scott LaFaro’s recordings and found this gem “The Broadway Bit” by Marty Paich. Also a legendary jazz drummer Mel Lewis in this album! Bob played in The Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra when he was in early 20’s so we had a great time listening to this album.
Personnel:
Marty Paich (p, arr), Frank Beach, Stu Williamson (tp), George Roberts (tb), Bob Enevoldsen (ts, v-tb), Art Pepper (as), Bill Perkins (ts), Jimmy Giuffre (bs, cl), Vince DeRosa (Frh), Victor Feldman (vib), Scott LaFaro (b), Mel Lewis (d)
Here is a play list of the album on YouTube!
