Our friend and huge jazz fan Greg sent me his recommendation. One of his favorite online music program “Latin Jazz Perspective” by Tony Vasquez. Latin Perspective is a weekly 1 hour program that features contemporary and classic Afro-Latin / Latin Jazz music. You can access to all shows here on PRX web site!

As some of you know, my husband and bassist Bob Bowman spent long time in Kansas City, MO while traveled inside/outside of the U.S. to perform with lots of jazz heavy hitters. When he was in KC, he had a band called INTERSTRING which still is considered as a legendary band. Here is a link to their performance in 2014, unusual “Someday My Prince Will Come”. Fantastic sounds!

If you like European Jazz, you probably know a Portuguese jazz pianist and film composer Bernardo Sassetti who unfortunately died from an accident while hiking near Lisbon in 2012. Bob and I really like one of his albums “Nocturno”. We like the music of this album but also the quality of recording is beautiful. It’s like listening to a live concert in a small room. Very intimate sound. Here you can enjoy couple of tunes from the album – Sonho dos outros / Reflexos by Bernardo Sassetti.

My photo book “雪景 – Sekkei. 空景 – Kukei.” for sale!
To friends who bought my 2021 calendar, thank you so much for your support! I printed a small amount of my first photo book which are my first baby steps.
About the title. Japanese “Sekkei” means snowscape. “Sekkei” is combination of these words: Yuki (snow) and Kei (scenery, landscape view, scene.) ”Kukei”, I made up this word to go with “Sekkei”. I used a combination of the words: Ku (sky, space) and Kei to title my photos of sky.

So here are my humble works, “Sekkei. Kukei”. (11.5 x 8.5 inch, 22 pages)
